How to prevent children's exploitation

How to prevent children's exploitation

Millions of children labour almost all around the world, that's why we must create unions to protect children and prevent their exploitation. We can simply boycott products like carpets which come from India and Pakistan and which are made by youngsters to be sold at incredible prices.

Another solution to stop child labour is to give an education to these teenagers.

In my opinion making children work is unacceptable, that's why we must act. In brief, we should all act to prevent child labour starting right now.

Julien, Terminal TISEC.

Child labour is a plague that persists all around the world in several countries especially in Bengladesh, Pakistan but also in Democratic Republic of Congo which are underdeveloped countries.

For my part, the best solution is to strenghten regulations against that type of exploitation. Moreover, schools should be free and compulsory particularly for children who belong to poor families. The UNO must improve their security and prohibit their exploitation in all the countries of the world and not only in rich or developed countries.

Ishak, Terminal TEMSEC.

These millions of children who toil and moil in underdeveloped countries are hired for they represent a cheap workforce.

In my opinion, we should ask the local authorities to carry out regular checks to reduce the production of child-made products and therefore children's work. We must stop buying products from countries where children are exploited. A boycott of certain imports could make the difference.

Schooling can be a solution to fight the work of children. We can also build schools to prevent poor children from working and give them better living conditions.

Mohamed, Terminal TEMSEC.

Nowadays everybody around the world buys clothing items without questioning themselves.

Where are they manufactured ? Or who made them ?

Behind many of these products there are some mafias who are not inspected by states governments. Those mafias make poor minor children work in dangerous conditions.

Yet some charities and organisations exist and struggle those businesses to forbid these works. But it's not enough. So before you pay for pants or shirts, try to find out where it was made and who made them. They may be child-made products.

Djamel-Dine, Terminale TEMSEC.

In my opinion, there are solutions to fight companies that have children working in hazardous conditions.

First of all, we really need to react and immediately combat the propaganda that are held by manufacturing companies worldwide, and increase state controls. Companies must be monitored so that they eradicate children's exploitation.

Secondly, we must make school free and compulsory until 16 years old like all developed countries, and avoid buying products made by children in countries as China, India, Pakistan or Africa.

To conclude, I propose to strenghten and improve protective systems which reduce the work of children and improve their general well-being and guarantee  an education and a better life.
