New Technologies, Progress or Danger ?
Everyday, we discover a lot of new technologies in our modern society. Indeed, today we can notice that everybody has access to innovations like computers, televisions, cell phones or touch pads. In supermarkets, we can see these appliances at different prices, which facilitate their access. Moreover, we use these new technologies for different reasons like doing the shopping online, communicating with our family, looking for information, finding and chatting with friends on social networks.

New technologies make life easier. They have the target of reducing human efforts. Now, the communications between two countries are almost instant.
All the new technologies allow discovering a lot of new cultures around the world and communicating freely with anyone. Information on TV can inform us no matter where we are in the world. There is no longer any obligation to have a newspaper to be aware of the news.
However, new technologies have a lot of drawbacks. They pollute the environment. For example the data centres which need a refrigeration system produce a lot of CO2. Computers are difficult to totally recycle and the “New Tech” industry pollutes nature. Moreover, we are becoming very dependent on new technologies and we communicate virtually more than humanly.

It’s very important to underline the fact that new technologies have a lot of negative sides. First of all, technologies have health consequences as headaches, eye problems or insomnia. They Also have negative effects on human contacts. People get used to be alone and this can be dangerous for their mental balance. Moreover, impacts at school should be highlighted. Indeed, new technologies reduce concentration and waste precious time for homework.
